Integrated circuit topography refers to what is commonly known as a chip or semiconductor chip, or mask work It is defined as a final or intermediate product comprised of two or more circuit elements formed on or in a piece of material and which is intended to perform an electronic function.

- a national ICT application to the Algerian National Institute of industrial property (INAPI).Procedure for Registration
- Conducting ICT search : Integrated circuit search is requested before applying for registration in order to better determine whether your topography is new and original.
- Drafting and filing Application : The application must be made in the form prescribed it must include:
a) - a title that identify the topography
b) - a description that identify the features and the structure of the topography.
c) - a Representation of the topography.
d) - a complete set of overlay sheets, drawings or photographs of the topography.
e) - a declaration of first commercial exploitation of the ICT : If the ICT is commercially exploited the application must be filed within two years from the date of the first commercial exploitation.
f) - payment of the fees
The application must be accompanied by the payment of the prescribed fees.
g) - a power of attorney
Duration and Maintenance of ICT
Each registration shall remain in force for 10 years from the date of filing application or from the date of first commercial exploitation anywhere in the world.
